I’m a dad of two, and I’ve been making videos since I was eight.
What began as a hobby never really ended. I took pictures of family holidays, made short films with friends, and carried a camera with me most of the time. At some point, it became a job.
But it has never felt like just a job. It still feels like the same thing to film weddings. A love. Something I really like.
Being a dad also changed how I see things. Time goes by quickly when you have kids. You start to see how important it is to keep the things that are important.
That’s why my job isn’t just to make a good video.
It’s about taking pictures of moments that you’ll look back on in the days and weeks after your wedding, and that will still mean something to you decades later.
I know one day that the moments I capture on your wedding day will mean the world to you.

I went to college and then the University of Sunderland to study Media Production. Those years taught me how to make films from a technical point of view. How to use cameras, edit, tell stories, and how everything fits together.
After college, I ran a business that put on music events in schools all over the North East. I put together more than 200 concerts over the course of six years, which gave thousands of students the chance to perform on stage.
I also filmed projects for charities and community groups around the same time. Some were about hard topics, but they showed me how powerful films can be.
Then things changed in life. I stopped making videos and sold my gear when my kids were born. For a number of years, I was only interested in family life.
Years later, I shot a short video to promote another business. That one project made me remember how much I loved making films.
I went back to making videos not long after that. Weddings quickly became my favourite job because they bring families and generations together.

In my twenties, I set up the UK’s first Community Interest Company, which led to an invite to the Treasury in London to help launch Social Enterprise Week. That whole chapter taught me what matters — people, creativity, and doing something with purpose.

Documenting small moments has always mattered to me. The videos I filmed back in 2019 and 2020 with my children Noah and Beau and mean even more now. When I look back at them, they take me straight to the children, the places, and the feelings of that time. That’s the same feeling I want you to have when you watch your wedding film in the years ahead.
