A perfect Sandburn Hall Wedding isn’t just about the setting. It’s about the stories woven into every moment. Chloe and Ben’s wedding day at Sandburn Hall captured that spirit beautifully, under clear blue skies and a light breeze.
Standing among rustic wooden beams and glass windows overlooking the lake, the day unfolded with quiet excitement. Maybe a little nervousness too — which felt normal.
The morning started at Sandburn Hall itself, where Chloe stayed overnight. The Grand Hall’s light-filled spaces set the tone for the day ahead. Over at home,
Chloe’s dress, a custom masterpiece from Elite Bridal, was understated at the front but striking at the back. Buttons traced down from her waist to the medium-length train, paired with a full-length veil. It felt almost surreal when she first tried it on, like the final piece had finally clicked into place.
Meanwhile, the Marc Darcy blue tweed suits were sharp but relaxed, paired with light sage ties to match the bridesmaids. Ben wore a slightly different waistcoat and tie, giving just enough distinction without trying too hard.
The ceremony took place indoors, surrounded by friends and family. As Chloe walked down the aisle, Ben’s words later echoed, “You brought tears to my eyes as you walked down.”
Their vows were simple but full of meaning. Ben promised, “I will respect and encourage you. I will love you forever.” Chloe responded with her own vow to respect and be a friend to Ben always.
During the readings, a passage captured the heart of the day:
“Love is not breathlessness. It is what is left when being in love has burned away.”
It was a reminder. Marriage is not just excitement; it’s roots growing side by side, unseen but stronger for it.
The weather could not have been kinder — a light breeze catching the bride’s veil, guests stepping outside after the ceremony into the sunshine for confetti and congratulations.
Chloe and Ben’s Sandburn Hall Wedding was filled with details that reflected them, but none of it felt forced.
The flowers by Jane’s Flowers brought soft, muted tones — sage green, champagne, ivory, pearl, and dried eucalyptus mixed in. A combination of artificial, silk, and dried real flowers gave the arrangements a subtle, natural texture that suited Sandburn Hall’s rustic-modern backdrop perfectly.
Lucy Sullivan created the cake, a simple but elegant 8” vanilla cake with 100 cupcakes. Each cupcake was finished with cream butter icing and tiny pearl decorations, tying back to the soft, natural tones of the flowers. The floral arrangement on top of the cake added an effortless final touch.
There were smiles, a few happy tears, and laughter during the speeches — perhaps more than expected.
Ben’s speech reminded everyone that the day wasn’t just about the ceremony. It was about “love, family, and friends,” he said, visibly moved.
Father of the Bride, Terry, managed to fit humor and pride into a few short minutes. He shared, smiling, “Jill once told Chloe to marry either a footballer or a pilot. And well, here we are.”
The work behind the scenes deserves recognition.
Photographer Ruth Mitchell captured the day with a natural and relaxed style, blending in while still documenting every important look and laugh.
Hair and makeup were by Stacey Munro and her team from The Hair & Makeup Project. Chloe and her bridesmaids looked polished but natural, letting their own personalities shine through.
Décor and lighting were handled by Wedding Venue Lighting, which subtly elevated Sandburn Hall’s already stunning Grand Hall without overpowering the rustic charm.
Snap Your Moment brought extra fun with a photo booth during the evening, something guests genuinely enjoyed.
Music throughout the evening was led by Kyle Clingo from Jonny Ross Music, keeping energy high without being over the top.
And of course, the Undercover Waiters delivered the surprise entertainment — blending right in before bursting into song, catching more than a few guests off guard, but in the best way.
As the sun set, guests moved outside for a sparkler moment, the lights reflecting across the lake.
Later, Chloe and Ben shared their first dance to Stargazing by Myles Smith. A simple moment, but powerful in its own way.
And maybe that’s how the entire day felt. Nothing overdone. No need for grandeur. Just two people — and their families — choosing to celebrate something honest.
It wasn’t lost on anyone, especially when Ben said during his speech:
“Love isn’t just where you’ve been, but where you are going.”
A Sandburn Hall Wedding like Chloe and Ben’s doesn’t just happen. It’s made, choice by choice, detail by detail, by two people who understand what it really means to promise forever.
And on that sunny, breezy day, they did exactly that.
